Rev. Thomas C. Brown - Rector

"‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’" Jeremiah 29:11

I am so grateful that the Lord's plan included Greenville, SC! After growing up in Columbia, SC and living in the low country (Pawleys Island), the Lord has brought me to the upstate. Following graduation from Clemson University in 1981, and seven years in South Florida working as an engineer, his plan led me to the South Carolina coast in 1988. Through the nudging of the Holy Spirit, I attended a parish based seminary (All Saints Institute) in Pawleys Island which led to ordination.

While serving as Assistant Rector at All Saints, Pawleys, the Holy Spirit nudged again to move to Greenville and plant St. Paul's Church. In August 2011, Libby and I moved with our daughter Margaret, and began the next season of the journey!

Rev. Clay A. Millener - Associate Rector

“For He satisfies the longing soul and the hungry soul He fills with good things.”  Psalm 107:9

I grew up in Simpsonville, SC and completed my bachelor’s at Wake Forest University (’97). Then moved to Connecticut, where I worked nine years with two international relief and development organizations.

After completing my MDiv at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA, I served as Assistant Rector from 2012-2018 with All Saints Church in Pawleys Island, SC.  Taking a step of faith, our family moved to Mechanicsburg, PA, where my wife, Carla, and I completed two years of further ministry training at Global School of Supernatural Ministry. In 2020, Carla and I started Captivated International, a training and equipping ministry.

I am so grateful to be back home in Greenville now and contributing to the great work God is doing at St. Paul’s. For fun, I enjoy good movies, games of all kinds, traveling, worshiping and songwriting and family time. Carla and I have been married 18 years and are blessed with two incredible teenage sons: Davi and Alexander.

Rev. Daniel B. Ott - Associate Rector

“Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” 1 Thessalonians 2:8 NIV

A Knoxville Tennessee native. Graduated from King College in Bristol, TN in 2004 which is where I met my wife, Abby. We married in 2006 while attending Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida. Our first call was as an assistant church planter focusing on youth and college students in Johnson City, TN where we were for 2 years and where I was ordained in 2008. Following our time in Tennessee we made our way to the low country of South Carolina to Christ Church in Murrells Inlet. We served there for 4.5 years as an associate priest and youth Missioner where we also added two new members of our family: Benjamin and Myers. During our time in Murrells Inlet we felt the call to a parachurch outreach ministry called Young Life where we have been serving 2 areas over the past 8.5 years. Serving in the Smoky Mountain area of Tennessee for 6 years also saw the addition of our 3rd child Nora Jane. Finally we are coming directly from Gainesville, FL where I served as area director for Young Life in Gainesville and at the University of Florida for the past 2 years.

About Me. My wife, Abby, hails from Mooresville, NC. We have 3 kids: Benjamin, Myers, and Nora Jane. In my leisure time, I love being outdoors and in the mountains with family. We love Camping, Hiking, Traveling, Disc Golf, Fly Fishing, All Things Sports, Music, Movies, Coffee and Reading.

“For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
“The Light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it” John 1:5

God’s timing is always perfect and complete. I am blessed to be called for this season of ministry at St. Paul’s and God's work here, bearing witness to Jesus's healing power and love over sin and darkness.

I come from Charleston, SC where I served as a hospital chaplain with Roper St. Francis and priest associate at St. Luke & St. Paul’s Cathedral and Old St. Andrew’s Church. I trained at Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary and was ordained in 2009. I grew up here in Greenville, and was formerly a youth pastor serving churches in South Carolina and Florida. At St. Paul’s, I assist in preaching/teaching and lead pastoral ministries and visitations, prayer ministries and Pastorates.

I am married to Debbie and we are blessed with two children, Ann Carver and David. In my leisure time, I love being outdoors hunting, hiking and spending time in the mountains with family.

Cindy McCravy - Deacon & Prayer Ministry Coordinator

“Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath.” Psalm 116:2 NLT

I am originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina but my husband Allen and I have called Greenville home for over 25 years. We are blessed with 3 children: Mackenzie our daughter and 2 sons Dean and Ian. My background is in pediatric physical therapy, and I have been a part of  prayer ministry for almost 20 years and very much incorporated healing prayer as part of my physical therapy practice. The Lord has called me to focus more on prayer ministry for this season, and I am so blessed to be able to be the Prayer Ministry Coordinator for St Paul's Church. Prayer is the very life and breath between us and our Lord and it is an honor to come alongside people and bring their petitions and praises to the Lord. For my leisure time, you will often find me spending time together with family in the great outdoors fishing, boating, hiking, or watching our children play the sports they so love. I love cooking for my family and friends and I like to find, try, and adapt new recipes.

Libby Brown - Lay Ministry Coordinator

I love to watch things grow!  And what a gift the Lord has given me in watching St. Paul’s Church grow: from a call to reality---from “Baby Greenville” to St. Paul’s Church.

As Lay Ministry Coordinator, I have the amazing privilege of watching the Lord build HIS church, one stone at a time.  (1 Peter 2:5)  He knows the plans and purposes for the SPC Body of Christ and He is doing the calling and equipping for His plans to come to fruition.  Another blessing to me is watching people grow from one degree of glory to the next (2 Corinthians 3:18) as they serve in their spiritual gifting. (1 Peter 4:10)

My husband, T,  and I have been blessed beyond measure in raising three wonderful children:  Bennett, Thomas, and Margaret.  Watching them grow and growing alongside them has been JOY UNSPEAKABLE!!!

Tom and Deb Bellamy - Worship Leaders

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!"   Psalm 150:6

We are natives of Ohio. Tom’s background is in physical therapy, many styles of guitar and audio technology.  Deb has a classical music training, but has always had one foot in the commercial music world.

It is amazing to us how God has taken these raw materials and molded them into a new form that brings Him glory!  He continues to guide us in a direction that blends together the old and the new.  The mission of St. Paul’s music ministry is to draw our community ever closer to the King of Kings, praising God as we use our voices in an expression of reverence and joy.

Grace Trail - Children’s Ministry Director

“He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel,
which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.”Psalm 78:5-7

Lauren Grafe - Student Ministry Director

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” James 3:17-18

I recently graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I have been married for almost a year now to my husband Hanes who will be starting medical school at USC-Greenville this Summer! During my time at Auburn, I wanted to look for ways to serve the local community where I was planted. I found that I loved serving students during my time in college, where I volunteered in Young Life for 4 years and led small groups within my church. I’ve also been deeply involved with JH Adventures ministries as I have served at their summer camp in California, JHOutback weekend camps in various cities, and on the leadership team for Outback University! All of these experiences with students have led me to vocationally pursue youth ministry.

I’d consider myself an amateur baker in my free time (my favorite things to bake right now are sourdough and bagels!). My favorite things to do are getting coffee with a new friend or going on walks with people (or go on a coffee walk and just do both!). Either way— I love people. And Jesus!

Lisa Lane - Finance Director

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17

I have an accounting degree from Furman University.  I am married to Mike Lane and am the busy mother of two boys, Ethan and Eric. Although I am a native of Michigan, I have lived in the Greenville area for the past 23 years. If I am not in front of my computer or reading, I am enjoying the mountains with my family and two dogs.

Erica Hockensmith - Communications Director

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

I am from Pawley’s Island and have lived in Greenville for 17 years. I originally came to Greenville to attend SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Furman University and was called to return when St. Paul’s was planted. I am a member of the worship team and am blessed to be full time as Communications Director since March 2023. I have seen the Lord’s hand working in my life and at St. Paul’s, and I am so grateful!

Ginny Milam - Services Coordinator

Richard Channer - Sexton

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1

Richard was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica. A father of three, a big kid at heart, he spends most, if not all, of his downtime with his family. He learned how to play the drums in his 20s in his father’s church and hopes to one day follow in his footsteps and become a pastor himself! One day, God-willing, he will be able to travel all over the world. He would especially love to visit Israel!
